SWTDO Merged Material Library merges 18 SolidWorks material libraries into one .sldmat file: deduplicated, with a unified category structure, ready for material assignment, structural material selection and FEA pre-processing in SolidWorks.
Data scale
| Source libraries | 18 .sldmat files |
| Material records before merging | 2,963 |
| Materials after merging | 1,890 |
| Unique materials (merged by name) | 1,392 |
| Categories | 81 (same structure as the library file) |
| Property types | 14 |
| File size | about 4.1 MB |
Properties included for every material
- Elastic Modulus (EX), Shear Modulus (GXY)
- Poisson’s Ratio (NUXY)
- Density (DENS)
- Thermal Conductivity (KX), Specific Heat (C), Thermal Expansion Coefficient (ALPX), Volumetric Expansion Coefficient (BETA)
- Tensile Strength (SIGXT), Yield Strength (SIGYLD), Compressive Strength (SIGXC)
- Specific Heat Ratio (GAMMA), Hardening Factor (RK), Dynamic Viscosity (VISC)
Values are given in common engineering units: modulus and strength in MPa, density in g/cm³, thermal conductivity in W/(m·K), specific heat in J/(kg·K).

How the merge works
- Same-named categories are merged across libraries (for example all stainless steel records end up in one category)
- Specific categories win, catch-all packages only fill the gaps
- Same name with different data: every version is kept, nothing is dropped as a “looks similar” duplicate
- Materials with different Chinese and English names keep both names
Typical use
- Material selection and assignment in SolidWorks structural design
- Material data for SolidWorks Simulation studies
- Consistent material names and values across modelling and drawing batches
- Base data for building your own company material library
Delivery and usage
Delivered file: 合并库.sldmat (UTF-16, SolidWorks material library format). In SolidWorks use Material → Edit Material → browse to the file to load it.
